More than 8 lakh students who appeared for the board exams are waiting for their results.An official of the School Education Department has been quoted as saying. PTIScrutiny of the answer sheet has been completed, and the results will be announced after the announcement of the election results.“The examination of the answer sheet is over, and the results of the Class 12 board exam will be declared soon after the election results,” the official said. PTIStudents who appeared for the HSC public examinations held from March 2 to March 26, 2026, will be able to check their results on the official websites tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in. As of now, there is no official confirmation about the exact date and time of the result declaration, but the latest update on the official result website says that the TN 12th results will be published soon.

Students will need their hall ticket number and date of birth to check the result. Students can follow these simple steps to download their mark sheet:
- Visit the official website at tnresults.nic.in
- Click on the “HSC Exam Result 2026” link on the home page.
- Enter your hall ticket number and date of birth.
- Click on “View Result” button.
- Your TN Class 12 Result will appear on the screen.
- Download and take a printout of the online mark sheet for future use.
Students should check all the details carefully after downloading the score card. If they find any mistake, they should immediately contact their school for correction. The mark sheet will contain details like student’s name, roll number, parents’ names, photograph, school name, subject wise marks, total marks, and eligibility status.Last year, the Tamil Nadu Class 12 results recorded an overall pass percentage of 95.03 percent. About 7.92 lakh students appeared in the examination and about 7.53 lakh students passed. Girls fared better with 96.7 percent pass while boys recorded 93.16 percent.
