Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will open the edit window for Assistant Recruitment 2026 tomorrow on 14 March 2026. According to an official notice issued by the Reserve Bank of India, the edit window for modifying the application form will be active from March 14, 2026 (00:01 hours) to March 15, 25 hours (:259 hours). During this two-day period, candidates who have already completed their application process will be able to revise certain details before proceeding with the recruitment process. The preliminary exam will be held on April 11 and the mains exam will be held on June 7, 2026.RBI Assistant recruitment drive aims to fill up 650 assistant posts in various regional offices of the central bank. Vacancies are spread across centers including Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi, Kanpur and Lucknow, Guwahati, Kolkata, and Bhopal, with Mumbai having the largest number of openings.The online application process started on February 16, 2026 and the registration window closed on March 10 after a short extension granted by the central bank.
Two days correction facility for applicants
RBI has clarified that the rectification facility will be available only to those candidates who have successfully submitted their online application form along with the required application fee within the registration period.Eligible candidates will be able to access the edit link through the official RBI website and resubmit their forms after making the necessary corrections. However, the bank has set strict limits on what information can be modified during this window.Candidates who wish to update their details will have to pay a correction fee of ₹200, inclusive of GST. The fee will be the same for all categories and will not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances, RBI said.The bank also said that only the latest amended application will be considered valid, provided the rectification fee has been successfully paid.Candidates submitting multiple applications are advised to edit only the most recent application to avoid confusion in the recruitment process.

Applicants will only be allowed to change the following details:
Preference of Examination Center - Father’s Name
- Mother’s Name
- Class 10 and Class 12 percent
Any changes should be verified carefully before submission, as each candidate will be allowed to amend and resubmit the application only once during the correction period.What can’t be edited?While the editing facility allows for limited modifications, many basic details will remain locked and cannot be modified. These include:
- Candidate’s Name
- Email Id
- Mobile no
- Correspondence address
- Permanent address
- category
- Nationality
