At a time when the industry continues to debate whether talent alone is enough, the veteran actor’s sense of humor has struck a chord.In a video shared by Maneet SinghPaintal is asked a simple question, “Are you an actor?” His answer – “Ji, nahin” – sets the tone. When Manmeet points out that audiences have seen him act for decades, Paintal says, “I don’t have followers on Instagram. That’s why I’m not an actor!”Taking the joke a step further, when asked if those who have no followers are not considered actors, Paintal smiles and says, “Absolutely not!” As Manmeet ends with “Lots of love,” Paintal fondly adds, “And lots of followers too!”

The video goes viral; shot on set during ‘masti’

The clip has gone viral, crossing over 8 lakh views as of April 28 and has steadily moved towards the one million mark.Manmeet later revealed that the video was shot in 2023 on the sets of Hukus Bukus. “We were having mastia on the sets and we planned this with the sir. He took it as a sport, it was a lot of fun,” he told Bollywood Hungama, adding that they still talk about it.“I think such legendary actors should have more followers on Instagram. He is a very nice and genuine person. As an actor, he is first class, and everyone knows it,” added Manmeet.
