Andaman and Nicobar Police Recruitment 2026: Andaman and Nicobar Police has started the application process for its recruitment 2026 drive, offering 495 Group B (Non-Gazetted) and Group C posts. The notification was released on 25th April 2026, the online application window will open today and will continue till 17th May 2026.The recruitment involved a number of operational units, including the Executive Branch, Police Radio, Motor Transport, Marine Force, Fire and Emergency Services, and the India Reserve Battalion. Candidates need to apply through official online portal, no offline mode is available.Recruitment Structure and Selection ProceduresThe selection process will be conducted in several stages, starting with the Physical Measurement and Endurance Test (PM&ET), followed by the written test. Depending on the post applied for, candidates may also undergo a trade or skill test. Document verification and medical examination will complete the process. The PM&ET phase is qualifying in nature and includes standards for height, chest measurement, running, and jumping events. Male candidates have to complete the 1600m race in seven minutes, while female candidates have to complete the 800m race in five minutes.Application schedule and fee detailsOnline registration started today at 11:00 am and will close on 17 May 2026 at 11:59 pm. Date of examination will be notified separately. The application fee for General, OBC, and EWS male candidates is fixed at Rs.100. Along with women candidates, ST, PwD, and ex-serviceman category candidates are exempted from fee payment. Payment can be made through net banking, UPI, or debit and credit cards.Distribution of Posts and Eligibility Criteria495 vacancies are spread across various posts like sub inspector, assistant sub inspector, constable, fireman and technical roles. There are 155 vacancies available for Constable (Executive) in the Executive Branch, while 71 posts of Radio Operator (ASI) are available in the Police Radio Organisation.Qualifications vary by post, from class 10 and 12 qualifications to diploma and graduate degrees in related fields such as electronics, communication, and engineering. Some roles require additional certifications, including a driving license, ITI qualification, or trade-specific experience.Age limits vary by character. The upper age limit for sub-inspector and ASI posts is 30 years, while for constable posts, the age limit is 18 to 25 years for men and 30 years for women. Relaxation is applied as per government rules.Application process and instructionsCandidates have to complete the registration, upload the necessary documents, pay the applicable fee, and submit the form online. Officials have said that no corrections will be allowed after submission, accuracy in application details is essential.
