Assam HS Result 2026: The Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB) will declare the Higher Secondary (HS) Results 2026 on April 28 at 10:30 am, ending the days of uncertainty over the Class 12 result schedule. The timing of the announcement comes after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the result date, following speculation caused by unauthorized notices circulating online.More than 3.3 lakh students who appeared for the annual exam in Arts, Science, Commerce and Vocational streams are ready to get their scores. The result will be released through the official portals, where candidates will be able to check subject-wise marks, eligibility status and other details through their roll credentials.A large candidate base awaits stream-wise performance.Around 3,30,744 candidates appeared in the Assam HS examinations held at 821 centers from February 11 to March 16. Arts had about 2.4 lakh candidates, while Science had more than 55,000 and Commerce about 17,000. Results for all streams will be declared simultaneously.Along with the individual scorecards, the board is expected to publish serial pass percentage, overall pass rate and other statistical details. Such figures will be watched closely, especially after last year’s overall pass percentage of 81.77 percent.Last year’s data provides a comparison.Around 2.47 lakh students cleared the exam in the 2025 session. Science had the highest pass percentage at 84.88%, followed by Commerce at 82.18% and Arts at 81.03%, Vocational at 68.55%.Last year’s gender-wise data shows that female candidates outperformed male students in all four streams. In science, female candidates recorded 85.54 per cent while male candidates recorded 84.39 per cent. Similar comparable figures are expected after this year’s announcement.The April 28 result also follows the board’s recent pattern. Assam HS Result 2025 was declared on 30th April, while in 2024 it was declared on 9th May.How students can access scoresCandidates will be able to check their results online after the link is activated at 10:30 am. Students will need to enter their roll details to download the provisional mark sheet. The original mark sheets are expected to be released by the schools later.The board is also expected to release information regarding rechecking, photocopies of answer scripts and compartment procedures after the declaration of results. With the announcement just hours away, attention has shifted from date speculation to the release of Assam’s biggest school exam results.
