Former Indian cricketer Muhammad Kaif Teenage sensation Vibhu Suryavanshi has been lauded after his brilliant century. Rajasthan Royals Against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2026.The 15-year-old lit up the Sawai Mansingh Stadium with a sensational 103 off just 37 balls, with 12 sixes and five fours in an innings that left fans and pundits in awe. Although Rajasthan Royals ultimately fell short as SRH chased down the target, Suryavanshi’s knock remained the highlight of the contest.
Calling him a rare talent, Kaif said on Jio Hotstar, “Vaibhu Suryavanshi is a once-in-a-generation talent. At just 15 years of age, he is showing the best bowlers in the IPL.”He pointed to the young man’s fearless attitude, particularly his aggressive intent against Purfl Hang. Suryavanshi hit the pacer for four consecutive sixes, avenging his first dismissal against him in Hyderabad and showing his ability to dominate under pressure.Keef also highlighted how the youngster showed no qualms against world-class opposition including Pete Cummins. “He also hit a big six off his first ball against Cummins. He plays as if he is fearless and free,” commented Keef.“Two centuries in two seasons, both at a strike rate above 250. That tells you everything about his mentality. He doesn’t care about the name of the bowler or the situation of the match. He just keeps on attacking,” he added.Kaif further highlights the technological strengths that make Suryavanshi special. “He bats like a seasoned player who has played international cricket for ten years. His ability to pick lengths early, his poise at the crease and his raw power are all world class.”He also praised the young man’s temperament and described it as a rare quality at such a young age. “He also has a calm head on his young shoulders. That’s a rare combination,” he said.“If he stays fit, stays hungry, and stays focused, Indian cricket will have its next superstar for the next 20 to 25 years,” he concluded.Despite the heroics of the young batsman, SRH ended a successful chase thanks to the crucial partnership of Ishan Kishan (74) and Abhishek Sharma (57), who put together a match-winning partnership of 132 runs.
