Employment trends have improved for ‘Michael’
Occupancy figures show a clear upward trend on Day 2. The English (2D) version had an overall occupancy of 29.58 percent. Morning shows opened at 18.89 percent.Evening occupancy rose to 30.22 percent. Evening shows rose to 34.33 percent. Night shows reached 34.89 percent.The IMAX 2D format worked even better. It had a general occupancy of 44.14%. At the Indian box office, ‘Michael’ has overtaken ‘Project Hail Mary’. On Day 1, the biopic earned 3.80 million euros. Including previews, the total reached 5.50 million euros.In comparison, Project Hail Mary collected 2.25 crore nett on its opening day.The gap is also evident in the national cinema channels. Michael sold about 45,000 tickets at PVR, INOX and Cinepolis. This brought a gross of almost 2.00 million euros for the biopic.
