Sunrisers Hyderabad made a big chase. Rajasthan Royals On Saturday, chasing 229 off nine balls in IPL 2026, they beat them by five wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.Teen sensation Vibhu Suryavanshi scored 103 runs for Rajasthan Royals and scored the third fastest century in IPL history, completing his century in just 36 balls. But his innings ended on the losing side as SRH’s batting unit combined to complete the fourth-highest run chase in IPL history.This came hours after Punjab Kings chased down 265 runs against Delhi Capitals in New Delhi, becoming the most successful chase in IPL history.For SRH, Ishan Kishan led the chase with 74 off 31 balls, while Abhishek Sharma scored 57 off 29 balls after getting two lifelines in the innings.Henrik Klaasen scored 29 runs and Nitish Kumar Reddy scored 36 runs. Klaasen and Nitish added 53 runs for the fourth wicket to bring SRH closer before finishing comfortably.Rajasthan Royals used maximum eight bowling options, but poor fielding hurt them badly.He dropped Abhishek Sharma twice. In the first, Shimron Hetmyer got away from third man when Abhishek hit one straight to Nandra Burger. Later, Tushar Deshpande bowled a low full toss and Abhishek sliced it into the hands of Ravindra Jadeja at backward point, but the catch was dropped again.RR also missed another chance when Brijesh Sharma dropped Nitish Reddy to Jofra Archer when they were on 14.Earlier in the innings, Dhruv Jural also dropped Travis Head off Archer in the first over. Head made just 6 before he was caught behind by Archer.Archer also tested Ishan Kishan with a 145.4 kmph short ball that took the edge, hit the helmet and ran away for four. Kishan recovered quickly and hit Archer for three boundaries.Abhishek and Kishan then took control of the game. He added 132 runs in just 55 balls for the second wicket and kept SRH well ahead in the chase.Earlier, Rajasthan Royals scored 228 for six, with another strong innings from 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi.He scored 103 runs off 37 balls with the help of 12 sixes and five fours. He completed his century with a six off Saqib Hussain off his 36th ball, which became the third fastest in IPL history after his 35-ball century last year and Chris Gayle’s 30-ball century for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in 2013.Suryavanshi got an early life when he was on 32 when Aniket Verma dropped him at deep midwicket off Ishan Malinga.He made SRH pay for that miss and completed his fifty with a six off just 15 balls in the sixth over.He added 40 runs in 14 balls for the first wicket and then added 112 runs for the second wicket with Dhruv Jaril, who scored 51 runs off 35 balls.After reaching his century, Suryavanshi was promptly dismissed as he was left lbw by Saqib Hussain’s scoop.Pete Cummins returned for SRH and finished with figures of 4-0-27-1, his only wicket coming off RR captain Ryan Parag for 7 runs.
