New Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that fans will be allowed to attend. Pakistan Super League (PSL2026 final.Naqvi, who also serves as the country’s interior minister, said on social media that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif had “gleefully approved” the attendance of fans for the May 3 final in Lahore.The 2026 PSL season was earlier played behind closed doors after authorities imposed restrictions on public movement due to rising fuel prices linked to the Middle East conflict.

Amid the situation, Pakistan’s government advised citizens to limit travel and work from home as part of a broader effort to manage fuel consumption.Naqvi said that while Sharif was inclined to allow fans into stadiums, the prime minister also stressed that austerity measures to reduce fuel consumption were in place across the country.On the cricket front, Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, and three-time champions Islamabad United have already secured their places in the playoffs ahead of next week’s knockout stage.Defending champions Lahore Qalandars, newcomers Hyderabad Kings and Karachi Kings are still fighting for the fourth and final playoff spot.
