New Delhi: Long-standing tension between the two S. Srisanth And Harbhajan Singh has resurfaced, and this time it looks like their relationship is completely over. Two former India teammates, who were once involved in the infamous 2008 IPL The “Sleepgate” incident, apparently, had moved on over the years. However, recent developments have reopened old wounds, with Sreesanth clarifying that he no longer shares a bond with Harbhajan and even blocking him on social media.
According to Sreesanth, the matter flared up again after Harbhajan was featured in an ad allegedly based on the Slap Gate controversy.He claims it was very disturbing. As for Matrubhoomi, he said, “I have never talked about Bhaji in any interview. This is going to be the first time,” before adding, “Recently, there was no problem, but he made an ad about it again. He earned around Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1 crore. He then called me and asked me to post a story about him. I told him, ‘I will forgive but I will never forget.’ If someone wrongs you, forgive him but never forget. If you forget, you will do the same thing again. He is the greatest example of this. There is no doubt about it.”
‘No Relationship Now’
Sreesanth did not hold back in explaining how things stand now. “I have no relationship with this person. I used to call him brother. But in the last month or two he did this ad, and now I have blocked him on Instagram,” he said, indicating how serious the fallout has become.Despite saying that he has forgiven Harbhajan for the past, Sreesanth insists that he has not forgotten him. The former fast bowler added, “My parents have taught me to forgive but never forget. I have no grudge against him nor do I need to.”However, he also questioned Harbhajan’s public persona, saying, “He may be a great person, but for me, from the time I played for India, it’s all an act. That’s something Sreesanth doesn’t accept.”
