Kajol talks about her no-kissing policy
Kajol has been a leading name in Hindi cinema for three decades with iconic films like ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and more. When he made his OTT debut in 2023 with “The Trial”, he not only took on a new platform but also crossed a personal boundary, sharing a kiss with his co-star. Jisshu Sengupta.
Speaking on Lilly Singh’s podcast, when asked about the decision, Kajol explained that the scene was inseparable from her character’s journey. In his words, “It wasn’t just a kiss; it was about what he thought and what he wanted to happen and what didn’t.”The actor added, “What he believed, what he believed in. What he couldn’t believe. It was something that was part of the whole script, so I couldn’t cut that without cutting part of the whole character.”Kajol has revealed that she was uncomfortableIn the same interview, Kajol admitted that the decision was not easy. She told Lilly Singh, “I think I was uncomfortable. I was very, very uncomfortable with the idea until I was on set…I really think it was just that; it was a professional call where I felt like I could make this call today.”
