Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board) has declared the Class 12 (Intermediate) examination results for 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 80.38 percent, reflecting a stable performance compared to recent years.A total of 24,86,072 students appeared for the examination out of which 19,98,317 students passed.The announcement was made from the board’s headquarters in Prayagraj. Students can now check their results on the official website upmsp.edu.in.
UP Board Class 12 Result 2026: Girls Ahead
Continuing a consistent trend, girls significantly outperformed boys. The pass percentage for girls was 86.32 percent, while that of boys was 75.04 percent, which is a significant difference of 11.28 percentage points in favor of female students.

Among the various streams, Commerce emerged as the highest performing stream with a pass percentage of 90.41%, followed by Agriculture Part-II (93.55%), which recorded the highest overall pass percentage among the smaller groups.The science stream, which has the largest number of candidates (over 1.6 lakh registered), secured a pass percentage of 82.15 per cent, while humanities, which stands second, recorded 76.18 per cent.However, Agriculture Part-I showed relatively poor performance, with a pass percentage of 69.51%.Across all streams, girls consistently recorded higher pass rates than boys.
UP Board Class 12 Result 2026: Toppers shine.
This year the top position was bagged by Shikha Verma of Sitapur, who secured an excellent score of 488 out of 500 (97.60%). It was followed by Nandini Gupta (Bareli) and Shreya Verma (Barabanki), both securing the second position with 486 marks (97.20%).
