Imran Khan rubbished rumors of BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover starring in a biopic alongside Aamir Khan and Shraddha Kapoor, telling Hindustan Times that he was not aware of it. Ashneer rose to fame with his viral ‘doglapan’ line on Shark Tank India. Imran’s comeback is Netflix’s Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum with Bhumi Pednekar, which has been pushed back to mid-2026.

Speculations about a biopic about businessman Ashneer Grover have been rife online. What drew attention was the casting he announced Aamir Khan, Shraddha Kapoorand Imran Khan. However, these claims seem to hold little truth. Earlier buzz suggested that Imran will play the role of Ashneer, while Shraddha will play his wife.

Imran Khan denied the rumours

Now, speaking to Hindustan Times, Imran dismissed the rumours, saying, “I have not even heard about this project. This is not true.”

Meanwhile, Imran is gearing up for a full comeback with the ‘Adhoore Hum Adhoore Tum’ starrer. The project, which marks his comeback, will be released as a Netflix original film. Directed by Danish Aslam, it also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Gurfateh Pirzada. Filmed in Mumbai until 2025, it was originally slated for a 2026 streaming release. It was delayed due to changes in the production schedule and is now likely to land in mid-2026 or later.

On the other hand, Aamir Khan was last seen in ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, the thematic sequel to the 2007 film ‘Taare Zameen Par’.
