The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule of Secondary School Examination 2026 second board exams, the papers of which will start from 15 May 2026 and end on 21 May 2026. The date sheet issued from Dwarka, New Delhi contains the subject-wise schedule for Basic, Language, Elective and Skill papers for Class 10 candidates.The examination program starts on May 15 with Mathematics Standard and Mathematics Basic in the session from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. In the same session, English Communicative and English Language and Literature will be held on May 16, followed by Science on May 18. Social Science, one of the main subjects, is scheduled for May 21.Core subjects are scheduled in one week.CBSE has released major academic papers throughout the week with a gap between important exams. Standard Mathematics under subject code 041 and Basic Mathematics under 241 will be conducted simultaneously on the opening day.English papers under code 101 and 184 will follow on May 16, while science under code 086 is scheduled for May 18. The Sanskrit exam under Code 122 will be held on May 20 in separate sessions with Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence.Social Science under code 087 will close the examination cycle on May 21 in a three-hour session.

Languages ​​and Electives held on May 19A large cluster of language papers is scheduled on May 19. These include Hindi Course-A, Urdu Course-A, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Manipuri, Malayalam, Odia, Assamese, Kannada, Arabic, Tibetan, French, German, Nepali, Limbo and Lepcha.Additional papers on the same day include Hindi Course-B, Bhoti, Telugu-Telangana, Bodo, Japanese, Bhotia, Spanish, Mizo, Sanskrit Communicative, Rai and Urdu Course-B.Most language papers will run from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, while Indian Music Vocal, Indian Music Melodic Instruments, Retail and Introduction to Tourism have two-hour sessions that end at 12:30 pm.Skill subjects are also included.The schedule includes skills and additional subjects, including Home Science on May 19, Painting on May 20, Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence on May 20, and professional papers such as Introduction to Retail and Tourism.The date sheet was released on 23 April 2026 under Controller Examinations Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj. The notification officially confirms the conduct of the second examination cycle of the board for the eligible students of class 10.
