‘Varanasi’ to debut at CCXP Mexico
On Thursday, the film’s team announced that ‘Varanasi’ will make its first appearance at CCXP Mexico 2026 with a dedicated panel that will offer fans an exclusive look at the upcoming film starring him. Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj in lead roles.Slated for April 24 at the Thunder Stage by Cinemex, the panel is reported to be presented by SS Karthikeya. The show will include a preview of the film, a special video message from filmmaker Rajamouli and a never-before-seen-behind-the-scenes (BTS) video.

Announcing the development on social media, the film’s official handle tweeted, “#VARANASI will make its global debut at #CCXPMX26 with an exclusive panel on April 24th at the Thunder Stage. We’ll be showcasing our ‘Varanasi to the world’ stage on the big stage… @ssrajamouli’s exclusive video message and never-before-seen BTS moments specially crafted for everyone present.”They also announced that the presentation will end with an interactive question and answer session with the audience. CCXP Mexico is one of the largest pop culture festivals in Latin America, bringing together films, television, comics, anime, games and cosplay on one platform. The 2026 edition will take place from April 24 to 26.

The event will also feature keynote panels and appearances by international projects and stars, including ‘House of the Dragon’ cast members Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Fabien Frankel, as well as showcases of ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’, ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ and ‘Supergirl’ with director Milly Alcock and Craig Gillespie.Like ‘Ramayana’, ‘Varanasi’ is also gearing up for a major world premiere. Both films are reportedly eyeing IMAX screenings. While ‘Ramayana’ is slated to release in Diwali 2026, ‘Varanasi’ will release in April 2027.
