He was 67 years old.Lake Havasu City police said he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.According to the Arizona State Police Department, officers were dispatched to Sheets’ residence in the early hours of April 22 after a report of a deceased person. In a statement, police said, “On April 22, 2026, at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a reported deceased person.”Deadline reports that Shees is dead.The case has been turned over to the department’s Criminal Investigation Unit, and the body has been transported to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. “Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” police said.Born May 13, 1958 in California, Sheets became a familiar face on the hit show “Storage Wars,” appearing in 163 episodes between 2010 and 2023. The series follows America’s epic bidding wars in abandoned warehouses. Each episode ends with a winner determined by the winnings of the value of the items found inside the trailer.After suffering a heart attack in 2019, Sheets largely retired from the storage auction business and made only occasional appearances on the show. According to reports, he relocated to Arizona, where he owned an antique store.
