Actor Vinod Suryavanshi, who gained recognition for his role in ‘Panchayat Season 3’, has also appeared in several Bollywood films including ‘Dream Girl’, ‘Thamma’ and ‘Jolly LLB 3’. In a recent interview, the actor opened up about his experience working on the side Akshay Kumar and shared some memorable moments on stage.Talking about his time on the sets of ‘Jolly LLB 3’, Vinod described Akshay as warm and attractive. “Working with Akshay in Jolly LLB 3 was great, he’s a fun star. We used to joke around a lot, even in scenes; he would give me his lines, involve me in scenes,” he said in an interview. Akshay and I used to play X and O. He asked about my family. We talked a lot about many things.”Coming from humble beginnings, Vinod recounted that his entry into the film industry was unexpected. “I got into the film industry by mistake. A friend called me and told me that I could stand in the crowd for a shoot and earn 500 rupees. I liked having breakfast, lunch and 500 rupees at the end of the day. It felt like a better job than what I was doing before. So I decided to continue, and that’s how I started working as a junior artist. As a security guard, I earned RS 8,000 per month for 12-hour shifts. As a small artist, I started earning Rs 10,000-12,000.He also spoke openly about the harsh treatment junior artistes often face on the sets. “Nobody talks to the junior artistes properly. They are often abused and humiliated. The assistant directors would mistreat us. The big actors never humiliated us.” Recalling a painful memory, she added: “Once, I went to eat in someone’s room, and an older person took my plate and asked me who I was. When I told him I was a junior artist, he told me to eat where junior artist food was served. I told him that the food there was over, but he told me to talk to my coordinator and not eat there. He took the plate away from me. That hurt me a lot. Then I decided that I had to do something in acting; maybe then at least I could sit in a room and eat in peace.’
