Over the years, the Jackson brothers have claimed that their father, Joe Jackson, “forced” them to work in the group.However, it seems that the situation is far from over. The veteran singer spoke about the issue and said, “A lot of people think my dad forced this on us. No, he didn’t. We wanted to do it.” He also concluded that their father had enhanced and supported their talents. He added that Joe Jackson “saw the talent in his family, and brought us instruments.” The Jackson brothers’ father was working as a band manager at the time, and died in 2018 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.Marlon Jackson, while attending the premiere, also spoke about the film and their family dynamic, adding, “I want people to understand when they come to see this movie that this family is no different than any other family. We have our ups and downs, trials and tribulations. And we learned to disagree. And it’s a big family.”
