Veteran actor Mumtaz recently opened up about her memories with Dharmendra, recalling their last meeting and reflecting on his warmth as a person. In a recent chat, he also spoke about his limited interaction with his sons, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deolwhile praising their education.
‘I went to his house… the time we spent together’
Talking about her recent interaction with Dharmendra, Mumtaz shared with Vickey Lalwani, “I went to his house with my sister Malika. His wife served us tea and food… we sat and talked.”He added that the two have been in contact over the years, even meeting at gatherings. “He even came to one or two of my birthday celebrations. It was a big party … he came and sat with us.”Recalling it fondly, Mumtaz said, “He was a very good human being. I don’t know… maybe God needs more good people, so he removes them earlier.’
Not very close to Sunny and Bobby
When asked about her bond with Dharmendra’s sons, the actor admitted that she hasn’t had much with them.“I’m not really close. It’s never happened. We’ve never worked together, and they didn’t come to the sets, so I didn’t know them much,” he said.Despite their limited interaction, Mumtaz had nothing but good things to say about Sunny and Bobby.“I haven’t met many of them, but I have heard that they are very kind people. When the father is such a good person, the children will be good too,” he shared.
‘I’m very proud of them’
Mumtaz also spoke about reports of the Deol family staying together, adding, “I hear they are all living together and are very happy. They are extending a floor in the house, so it looks like they will continue to live together.”He ended on a warm note: “If that’s true, that’s great. It means they’re good-hearted guys. I’m so proud of them.”
