Sunny Deol and Kill director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s action film shifts from Lakhan to Parshuram, better suited to its epic scale. Filming begins in October; official announcement soon. Deol’s slate: Gabru, Lahore 1947 (August 2026, Aamir Khan prod.), and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.

Heavy action duo Sunny Deol and director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the director behind the brutal actioner ‘Kill’, has finally locked down a title for his next collaboration. Moving away from the tentative title Lakhan, the makers have reportedly settled on a more mythologically charged and powerful title, ‘Parshuram’. To be a large-scale action spectacle, the film is currently in pre-production and is expected to begin shooting in October 2026.

According to Pinkvilla, the makers decided to move away from ‘Lakhan’ and block a new title. The team was waiting for the right title and finally found it. Both ‘Lakhan’ and ‘Parshuram’ are strong in their own way but the makers collectively decided to go ahead with Parshuram.

The updated title is said to match the film’s atmosphere, grandeur and the epic character embodied by Sunny Deol. Titled ‘Parshuram’, it is all set to build anticipation for its wide appeal. The production will begin in October, with the official announcement of the power couple Sunny Deol-Nikhil Bhat coming soon.
