WBBSE confirmed the Madhyamik 2026 result date on May 8 amid the focus on the election schedule.

West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2026: West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has confirmed the date of release of Madhyamik Preksha Result 2026. The Class 10 exam results will be declared on 8 May 2026, ending the uncertainty of students waiting for their scores.Candidates appearing for the secondary examination will have the opportunity to download their mark sheet from the website wbresults.nic.in and wbbse.wb.gov.in. The notice eliminates any confusion that may arise in anticipation of a delay due to the state’s election schedule.Examination held in FebruaryThe Madhyamik exam was conducted through a pen and paper test over a ten-day period starting from February 2 to February 12. These examinations were held under the supervision of the board at various centers under the jurisdiction of West Bengal.A total of 9,71,340 students appeared for the 2026 exams. These included 4,26,733 male candidates, 5,44,606 female students and one transgender student.Online Results Viewing ProcessTo view their mark sheet, students have to visit the above mentioned portal after the link is activated. Candidates have to click on the link marked ‘West Bengal Madhyamik Result 2026’ which appears on wbbse.wb.gov.in.Students have to provide their roll number and date of birth in the respective fields provided in the login screen. After that, candidates have to verify the captcha code displayed on the screen and then submit their login credentials to view the mark sheets. These scorecards can be downloaded and saved for future use.The election calendar created interest.This year’s mark sheets were of interest because of the upcoming elections in West Bengal. The elections will be held in two rounds on April 23 and April 29 while the voting process will be completed by May 4.These concerns were allayed when the board announced the May 8 release date. There were speculations that there would be some delay in the declaration of results but the board allayed these concerns.
