Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock are back, twenty-eight years after the original ‘Practical Magic’ cast its spell on audiences; the beloved duo is returning as the Owens sisters for a highly anticipated sequel. The trailer has been officially unveiled after premiering at CinemaCon in Las Vegas last week, and it looks like the magic is alive and well.Directed by Susanne Bier, ‘Practical Magic 2’ stars Bullock and Kidman reprising their roles as Sally and Gillian Owens. The sequel “returns to a world filled with moonlit mischief and powerful ancestral magic as the Owens sisters must confront a dark curse that threatens to tear their family apart for good in a must-see cinematic event filled with fun, magic and hilarity.”
What happens in ‘Practical Magic 2’
Next, Sally has grown daughters who have started living on their own, while Gilly has settled into a quieter life with a black cat. But trouble soon finds them both, bringing them back to their New England town to fight a family curse that refuses to stay buried.The trailer opens with Sally narrating, “I’m sure you’ve heard of the Owens family, from Massachusetts, whose neighbors whisper that they’re witches.” When Lee Pace’s character meets the sisters, Sally tells him, “Everyone we love dies.” Gillian continues with her own wit: “Really horrible death. Not great Tinder for both of us.” In another scene on a train, Gillian reassures the group by saying “It’s going to be okay,” prompting Sally to reply, “It’s going to be okay? Like when we had to bury a dead body under a rose? That fine or different?”

Along with Kidman and Bullock, it stars Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, Xolo Maridueña and Solly McLeod.
