SAI Recruitment 2026: Sports Authority of India has released a recruitment notification for Assistant Coach posts in various sports fields, the application window of which is closing today. The objective of this campaign is to fill up 323 posts under a regular Group B category, which offers vacancies at various centers in India.As stated in the notice, the application process will start on 23rd March 2026 and will end on 21st April 2026. The application procedure for these posts will be through online mode using the website of the organization only.Details of Vacancy and Eligibility CriteriaA total of 323 vacancies have been advertised for Assistant Coaches. To apply for this post, candidate must possess Diploma in Coaching from SAI NS-NIS or any other recognized institution. Also, a coaching certificate plus participation in Olympics, Asian Games or World Championships qualifies one for this post. Candidates with Dronacharya Award are also eligible.To apply for this post, candidates upper age limit is fixed as 30 years as on 16 January 2026. The registration fee for applicants belonging to UR, OBC, and EWS categories will be £2500. However, SC, ST, Women, and Ex-Servicemen candidates have to deposit an amount of ₹ 2000 as application fee. Fees should be paid through online payment methods only.Selection Procedure and Format of ExaminationThe selection procedure is divided into two rounds. The first round consists of a computer-based test worth 40 percent and a coaching skill test worth 60 percent.The written exam will have a total of 100 MCQs which need to be solved in two hours. It will cover subjects like sports knowledge, sports science, logical reasoning, and general awareness. There will be a penalty of one quarter mark for each wrong answer. Shortlisted candidates from the written test will appear for the next round in the ratio of 1:3.Provisions under CorrigendumThrough the Corrigendum, new provisions like horizontal reservation and age extension of PwBD candidates have been added. It is also clarified that a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports Coaching from a recognized State University is acceptable as a qualifying degree.
