When he answers—like it or not—the way I do my job will change and change. Out of duty, I don’t ask him because I might not be strong enough to hear what he has to say. I’d rather live in the illusion of what he wants or doesn’t want.’
“Kids today are incredibly honest”
Abhishek also reflected on how today’s generation of kids communicates more openly, something that can be both refreshing and challenging.“Kids today are very confident and know exactly what they want. They’re very good at communicating that. For people of my generation, sometimes it can be hard to just listen because they’re honest, and even though they should be, it’s not always what you want to hear. As a parent, I want to do what I believe in right now without influencing their opinions. Maybe that will change with time.”
“I don’t think I’ll ever ask”
While leaving room for the possibility in the distant future, Abhishek said that for now, he prefers not to know.“God willing, if I’m around when she has her kids, then I’d ask her. But right now, I don’t want to be affected by what she thinks. I don’t think I’ll ever ask.”He added with a smile, “I’m sure he’ll find an opportunity to tell me anyway, but I’ve never asked.”
