New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) spinner Varun Chakraborty on Sunday revealed that he still has “two fractures” in his left hand. Varun Chakraborty, who was instrumental in KKR’s first win of the IPL 2026 season against LSG on Sunday, said, “I think we all deserved this win, even though it’s just a win, it feels sweet. In the first few games (of the season) I was injured, I had two fractures. I still have two fractures in my left hand. So I’m just trying to manage it.”
Chakraborty had earlier missed KKR’s two matches due to a finger injury. “I would say it (the pitch) was a bit slow, but it suited us perfectly and we made the most of it. And I think we could have batted a bit better in the middle, but that’s all right. We are not just coming here to participate. We are here to win every match. We are here to make a strong claim for the trophy. We still have hope and I think we’re going to do well.“Willy Varun Chakraborty (3/14) is back to his best, showing great chemistry with the veteran.
