Prince Harry immediately departed from Meghan Markle’s ceremony
As the Duchess of Sussex attended a 90-minute speech at Sydney’s InterContinental Hotel near Coogee Beach, attendees revealed Prince Harry looked a little out of shape. According to The Times, Prince Harry made a brief appearance at the event, sitting alongside club chain manager and close friend of the couple, Markus Anderson. His departure, however, surprised the guests.
The guests say that the meeting was unusual
A guest told the outlet: “It was the most unusual thing. People were taking pictures of Meghan on stage, and Harry kind of ran out. Really fast. He didn’t wait to get off stage, he didn’t collect her off stage. It was really weird.”The same guest added: “I sat there, and everyone was going on about how beautiful she was and how wonderful she was, but she almost sold out. It was quite strange.”The duke’s hasty departure was in stark contrast to the attention he had paid to his wife all evening. The event in Sydney reflected how the Sussexes have transformed their royal status into a commercial enterprise since stepping down from official duties six years ago in pursuit of “financial freedom”.When Meghan last visited Australia in 2018, as a fellow royal, she was performing duties on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II.Meanwhile, the couple may return to Britain this summer before Birmingham hosts Harry’s Invictus Games next year.
