His journey turns into a wild cat and mouse chase with an eccentric cop played by Anurag Kashyap and a corrupt head of a chain of hospitals played by Prakash Raj.He must be focused on his mission to escape and seek revenge. However, for a man deeply in love, it is not easy to let go even after thirteen long years. The narrative mixes action, emotion and twists. It aims to mix intensity and pride in a stylized and massive format.
Critical reception for the Adivi Sesh starrer
ETimes’ review of the film reads: “The film takes a number of twists and turns, some of which, including the climax, are genuinely moving. On paper, these moments have real impact, but they needed sharper writing to really land. There’s a clear attempt to tap into the wave of stylized, massive, alpha-male action movies dominating the space. Dacoit: The Love Story aims to ride that level with a mix of intensity, emotion and pride. But instead of coming together as an engaging entertainer, it feels unbalanced and overwrought; A film with great ambitions ends up being a mistake.”
Foreign collections
Foreign markets have responded better than domestic ones. The film has crossed 12 crore gross collection overseas.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and data in this article have been collected from public and industry sources.
