Rocking Star Yash is gearing up for the release of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’. Recently, the Kannada star compared his film to the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Sinners’, saying it is a “unique action film and a ‘big scale'” like Michael B. Starring Jordan.
‘Toxic’ for a fresh global narrative
While talking to The Movie Report’s YouTube channel, Yash and filmmaker Namit Malhotra discussed their massive upcoming projects. Yash said, “It is a unique and large-scale action film. It is something like Sinners, which was also unique and interesting and people accepted and enjoyed it.” We want people to feel the same freshness when they watch ‘Toxic’.This film is special as it comes after a long gap of four years since his last big film ‘KGF: Chapter 2’. Talking more about the film, Yash said, “Toxic is another unique film, and I think it has a similar ambition. [like Ramayana]. Namit and I have similar visions to showcase our talent and stories on an international platform, and Toxic also started with that ambition.’
More than a gangster film
Yash explained that it is not a normal gangster film. He said it looks like a gangster movie from the outside, but it’s very different from the inside. He said: “On the surface, Toxic may look like a gangster film, but it’s very layered. It’s something that understands the dilemmas and the dark side of a person in a very unusual way. Most of the things are told through metaphors and that’s what makes the story special.” The story seems to depict emotions and internal struggles in a simple yet profound way.
