In the midst of this success, Sooraj Barjatya praised Aditya, dubbing the film “picture perfect after Sholay”.

Speaking to SCREEN, Sooraj hailed “Dhurandhar” as a great blockbuster, even though it didn’t have a family focus, he enjoyed it a lot. He stated, “As a filmmaker, anything good is good. I think Dhurandhar is the perfect picture after Sholay. All the characters are very well done. Hats off to Aditya.” He also shared his fondness for ‘Saiyaara’ and expressed his excitement Aditya Chopra and Mohit Suri at its launch.
He added: “All issues should be done but this type of content is very important so that we can tell the younger generation to trust, hope and support each other, otherwise we are all divided. Why should there be loneliness?”.

He stars in Aditya Dhar’s two-parter ‘Dhurandhar’ Ranveer Singh starring R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Rakesh BediSara Arjun and others in pivotal roles. In the first part, Hamza, an Indian spy portrayed by Ranveer, joins the gangs in Lyari, Pakistan to dismantle a terror network targeting India. The film was a huge success at the box office, earning over 1.3 billion worldwide.
