Asked to bat first, he registered his first big innings in a CSK jersey and formed a dominant partnership with Mahatre, who showed his growing maturity in a crucial stand of 113 runs in just 11 overs. It was Samson’s fourth IPL century and his first century for CSK, as well as his first century of the IPL 2026 season.
