2PM’s Hwang Chansung will appear in his first action role in ‘Bloodhounds’ Season 2. During a press tour, the singer-actress talked about her experience shooting the series. Hwang Chansung takes on the role of Tae Geom, a character known for his quick and precise fighting skills and sharp judgment in high-pressure situations. The series stars Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi.
Hwang Chansung says he likes action roles
According to an AllKpop report, the actor opened up about his experience while speaking to the press on April 7 in Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul. “I used to do stunts at 2:00 p.m., and I like action projects, so I wanted to try a role that required physical performance. I was offered the part by director Kim Joo Hwan, and I really liked Season 1, so I was excited,” said the 36-year-old.
Hwang Changsung was worried about the role at first
Changsung revealed that he put in a lot of effort before filming. “The preparation period was longer than I expected. The actors had already set a high standard for the quality of action in Season 1, so I felt that Season 2 would take it even further. It was my first time acting, so I was worried at first,” he admitted. The actor continued, “While the directors and actors praised my performance during the shoot, personally I still feel regret. However, I gave it my all, I shed blood and sweat, with no tears.”
Hwang Changsung made injury prevention a priority
“Timing and coordination are key in action scenes,” Hwang said. He emphasized that avoiding injuries is his main priority. “A wrong kick can cause pain or injury, so I was very careful,” said the actor.‘Bloodhounds Season 2’ premiered on Netflix on April 3rd.
